Associate Professor Stafford's research

Associate Professor Stafford has an active program of research through her role consulting to the Familial Cancer Centre and Breast Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Melbourne.

​

The focus of Associate Professor's Stafford's research is in line with her primary clinical interest in women's health and oncology. The aim of her research is to improve the psychosocial adaptation and wellbeing of people with cancer and their families. In recent years, her work has centred on sustainable and effective interventions that empower patients and practitioners to optimise quality of life.

 

Associate Professor Stafford has published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, presented her work at national and international scientific conferences, and has been awarded several large competitive research grants.
